Having involved dads helps children in school

As this blog has discussed on previous occasions, the presence of fathers in their children's lives has a number of important benefits for both the dads and their kids. This is one reason why our law firm dedicates its time and attention to helping men establish and protect their fathers' rights to see their children regularly and have a role in making important decisions on their behalf.

In this respect, several studies have suggested that children who have dads who are involved in their lives, particularly with respect to their education, perform better in school overall. To start, children whose fathers are involved tend to have fewer discipline problems at school.

Furthermore, children who have strong relationships with their dads also perform better academically, a trait which, more and more these days, is seen as a gateway to getting a college education and some solid job opportunities. What is particularly interesting to note is some studies show that females who have a good relationship with their dads tend to do better at math. Finally, children who are frequently around their fathers show better tendencies to solve their own problems and explore the world around them.

The bottom line is that Nebraska children often need both of their parents in order to live the healthiest, most productive lives possible. Unfortunately, many men in the Omaha area face resistance, both subtle and not-so-subtle, in actively participating in their children's lives. This resistance often comes from the child's mother, who may have negative animosity toward the father for whatever reason.

When this happens, standing up for his fathers' rights is often the best thing a man can do both for himself and for his children. He may require the assistance of an experienced fathers' rights attorney in order to do so.
